Production Log #6 (25/05/2017) Filming: Today we filmed at Hadlow's Hildenbourough campus, where we filmed multiple foundation students in the animal management course. We filmed many things like the miniature ponies, alpacas, chickens, rabbits, ducks, and ducklings. Once we finished there we moved onto Mottingham, where we filmed a similar course but with extra animals like terrapins, cats, bearded dragons, and snakes. We also filmed the course muck out some of the pens.

Production Log #5 (11/05/2017) Shot Type Storyboards: We started of the day with creating a story board of different shots that where featured in the previous year presentation day videos. We had to screen grab what shot types interested us and we would use in our videos, then say what shot type it is and why it was important to use this shot type in the video. This was helpful to do this because it gave me ideas to what kind of shots I want to include in my video, as well as the feel of the video the client is looking for. Filming: Today we where told that we would be filming the Graphics course at West Kent College for the presentation day video. Regan, Jay, and I went up to the Graphics department to see what we would be filming and asked if now was a good time to film for them. Production Log #4 (09/05/2017) Research into College Courses: Today we were given by our teacher Debbie five courses that are offered by the Hadlow Group Colleges. We had to research into each of the courses to find out all the information about them that was important for when we started to film. The five courses my group where given where: Science, Business, IT, Electronic Installation, and Equine. This is important to progress in this unit because it gives us a better understanding of the courses we are going to be filming, and is important for the research task in the unit.

Production Log #3 (08/05/2017) Group assignment and job roles : We started today's lesson off with being assigned our groups for the promotional videos, and given our job roles within the groups. This was helpful at this stage because I could then speak to my group and figure out what we were going to be doing. File Format Workshop: We also had a workshop with Andy the media technician who taught us the basics of file formats and what is the best format to export when editing videos. This was really helpful because during our time at the college as a class we have all been unsure when exporting and have always asked the teachers. Know knowing how to export and what file format we should chose depending on how we film the video it will be much more helpful for this unit. Production Log #2 (02/05/2017) Camera Workshop: Today we had a workshop with Matt Smith, he's one of the media technicians at West Kent college. In a group of around 8 with some of my class mates he taught us the basics to use the cameras at the college. He showed us how to set the camera up, the format we need when filming, and how to change the audio settings depending on the circumstance of the shoot. This was really helpful because it allowed me to have a better understanding of the cameras and would help when filming my upcoming unit. There was a lot on the college cameras that I was unsure of what they did and how to work them, so am very happy I know more.

Production Log #1 (25/04/2017) Client Meet #1: Today we met with the clients, they pitched their proposal to both classes, in which I made notes for. We were all able at the end to ask questions. This was helpful because it allowed us to see what they expected of us and what they wanted in the videos. They came in so that they could talk to us and see if we liked the idea and if we had any ideas of our own.
